Murid Partaw has extensive working experience in government and private sector. As the former senior government official of Afghanistan, Partaw brings an in-depth knowledge and understanding of his country and the wider region, especially in terms of security, political, economic, and religious subject matters. Mr. Partaw's most recent position was Afghanistan's Senior National Representative (SNR) to the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM). In that capacity, he represented Afghanistan at the highest levels of military and diplomatic fronts coordinating civil-military efforts in the war against terrorism and extremism. In addition, Mr. Partaw has participated in numerous conferences, forums and events on topics related to international security and inter-state relations particularly in South Asia and the Middle East regions. He has delivered speeches on Afghanistan-Pakistan political and security developments in various forums. He is an alumni of Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA) in Washington, DC. His advice is being solicited by different US based consultancies as well as international media outlets, such as the BBC, VOA, TRT, Iran International, Indus News, and others on Afghanistan and the region. Murid Partaw is a graduate of political science from University of South Florida. Since graduation, he has been involved in academia and research projects. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D., in Politics and International Affairs at the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies (SIGS). As an academic writer and researcher, he is also a featured writer for the Foreign Policy Journal FPJ, IHS Jane's and The National Interest Journals. His area of research is focused primarily in IR, security studies, democratization in post-conflict societies, state building, peace and conflict studies. He is currently teaching International Relations and American National government classes.
